TELICS was established in 1981 as Telecommunication & Industrial Consulting Services Corporation. Initially, the firm provided distribution design and related services to support telecommunications and electric power projects. The company has continued steady growth integrating other services to support its core Design business. Today, capabilities include Design, Right of Way and Permitting, CATV, Utility Coordination, Traffic Signal Cabling, Special Projects, Staffing and Emergency Response.

TELICS currently employes over 200 associates serving communications companies, utility companies, other consultants, municipalities and Departments of Transportation. Corporate headquarters is located near Exit 90, I-77 approximately 10 miles from uptown Charlotte, NC.
